Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive scholarly account of Imam Dr. Muhammad Ali al-Sabuni (1928–2021), one of the most influential Sunni scholars and Qur’anic exegetes of the modern era. It examines his early life, educational journey, academic achievements, juristic methodology, literary and rhetorical contributions, and his enduring impact on contemporary Islamic thought. The research aims to highlight how Dr. al-Sabuni’s unique blend of classical Islamic education, rigorous scholarly training, and commitment to pedagogy shaped his prolific intellectual output and left a lasting imprint on Islamic scholarship.
